Doing a timeline is the best way to stay organized during a wedding photo shoot.  A timeline will help you be prepared for all the shots.  Not only will you be prepared but you can be ready to capture great moments.So with that in mind we are going to discuss some of the important things that a photographer should do before and during the wedding.

First thing a photographer must do is to know and consult the family when they would like to pose for the family portrait.  As a San Diego wedding photographer I see that the timing of this is different for every wedding.  Some people prefer to take pictures before the wedding.  This allows them to avoid the hectic time after the wedding.Others prefer to do it during the wedding.You will be more prepared if you can determine when this will happen.

Next, you should determine the exact starting time of the wedding itself.That would enable you to capture shots of the guests that are arriving.  As a San Diego photographer this is a great time to capture candid shots of your guests.  You will also be able to get everything ready for the big ceremony.

Finally you will want to know what time the reception is.This is important since it would let you know how much time you can have in the wedding itself.In other words, you will be able to balance your time between taking shots at the wedding location and moving to the reception location.  Doing wedding as a San Diego event photography allows me to coordinate this big event to run smoothly.  The last thing you want is everything being disorganized.
