The Independent School Offers Comprehensive Education In A Nurturing Environment

National and local government resources do not provide any financial or governing support for the independent school. The school is created in order to determine their own board of directors to govern them. The institution receives its support from gifts, tuition and endowments.

The school has the freedom to create and implement their mission statement according to what the board of directors has deemed would met the needs of their student body. The main goal for most schools of this genre is to provide a nurturing educational environment where students learn from a firm foundation of the basics. Setting goals and disciplining oneself to reach those goals is one example of doing this.

The freedom to choose interesting elective programs is one of the cornerstones of the independent educational institution.

The wages are competitive with the government run schools so that instructors often prefer the independent institution where behavioral issues will not be taking up their instructional time. Parents make a significant financial commitment to have their children enrolled in independent schools. This is indicative of their commitment to work together with the teachers in furthering their child’s level of education. Small class sizes make it possible for teachers to invest more time with the students on a one on one basis.

The independent school can be sub=categorized into boarding schools and even military schools. When the parents feel that the child needs discipline then the military model may suit their child’s needs. They will be taught how to discipline themselves while living independently from their family.
