Leaf cutter ants live only within their colony & feed exclusively on fungus. They come in various sized castes to perform various duties that are to be executed in the colony.

Ants that have a sac of poison are known as the fire ant. Their “poison” is known as piperidine alkaloids.

The Australian bulldog ants are those with only one chromosome and these are amongst the biggest & most primitive varieties of ants.
